hi,
This may seem like a silly question, but I'm curious. and if somebody can help me with this I'd appreciate the sharing of the knowledge.
my job is to pick videos viewed more than 1M related to sports and since I can't do it with Internet Download Manager anymore I gather all the URLs of those videos in an excel file then copy and paste them into a link grabber using this online service http://www.etyn.com/tools/youtube-downloader after that it gives me all formats available and the download link next to it but when I click it it opens a new tab and then the download starts...

does that mean the browser is downloading it? or it's just another server!! is it safe!??

cheers

Sounds like the website you are using is converting the youtube video from the standard format that youtube uses (*.FLV??) into the format you selected. Should be safe as long as it doesn't send to a ZIP file or EXE file.

take your list and past them in jdownlowder2

then you areable to select what you are going to download, the entire clip or just the audio
