Hi all,
I've been using Subsonic for quite a while now but I'm frustrated with the pace of development and how long it takes to get new features added (or not in most cases). I like the software so thought I'd give Madsonic a try. Had it up and running in about 5 minutes on my CentOS box and my existing Subsonic app on the Android phone worked without any reconfiguration.
One thing my wife complains about is that I have an awful lot of music and sometimes it'll randomly put things in her play list that are 'hard to listen to'. It might be nice to take advantage of the Last.fm APIs
How hard would it be to integrate artist.getSimilar into the playlist creator then match results against the database and add similar artists? It would then be possible to randomly submit one of the returned artists and pic more to expend out possibly. Just an idea
Anyway, keep up the great work.
