lastFM = nothing changes ! :(

Unread post by mea »

Hello there,

I made the full lastFM scan several times but I can't figure to see anything added to my collection...
I see in the logs that some of the scanned id3 fails to be found...but in the end, I have absolutely no information about the artists, no artist covers, nothing!

Can someone here tell me how this module is exactly working ? what should i see and where should I see the additional information ? what do the module do? download covers? where is the artist info shown? etc.

is the scan based on id3 tags ? on folders ?

And as it is not working at all for me, what could I do to get it to work ? :(

Thank you !

hi there,

the last.FM Module is just working, but it depends on your media files.
In general all your audio files should have valid ID3 Tags.

your directory sturecture should be

Code: Select all

\ARTIST\ALBUM\TRACKS
Example: \var\media\Adele\Skyfall\01 Adele - Skyfall.mp3

The last.FM Cover scan will put a artist.png into your \Adele folder.
1.png

The last.FM Artistinfo will put additional Infos, Artist Tags, similar Aritst and top Albums into a separate page.
3.png
and finaly the new last.FM TopTrack feature (5.1 Beta1) will sync Artist TopTracks into your database
4.png
That all features work the madsonic server must connected to the internet to collect all this data.

I hope this helped a little to understanding the last.FM module.

what error you get in the log file?

best regards
