Set UTF-8 in madsonic.properties?

Unread post by Tru3Magic »

Hi,

I set up Madsonic with the .war file on my Tomcat server. I did a fresh server install beforehand and set encoding to utf-8, but had all my media libraries on an old harddrive.
If I manually upload an album with international characters through FTP to my media folder, Madsonic doesn't find it (although in terminal characters are correct).
If I upload it through the fileupload in Madsonic it gives me weird characters where the international ones should be.
If I upload album without international characters - eg. ae instead of æ - it finds my album without problem.
In the tags for the songs it shows the international characters without a problem...

I've read somewhere that I can set Madsonics encoding in the .sh file, but since I'm running "directly on" Tomcat I don't have an .sh file
- can I set the encoding in the .properties file?

Thanks
