Issue with index links on Artist search page

On the artist search (from the Artist icon at the top of the page), the "#" and "X-Z" index links don't work. I'm running 4.8.3350.beta3.

I notice the links are:
http://myserver/artist.view?name=#
http://myserver/artist.view?name=X-Z

Maybe it's literally querying for artist names that start with "#" or "X-Z", rather then translating it to "starts with 1 or 2 or 3, ...". Just a guess.

ok, its because the filter works with start-with ... A = Abba, Adele, ...
No Artist is found with X-Z, but X only will work ...

I will look into for optimization!
