It seems like icon visibility settings are not working in the latest 5.0.3510.beta3. I think it might have been broken in earlier 5.0 builds, but I'm not 100% sure.

Currently, I can log in as an admin, go to Settings\Icons and uncheck all icons, which should hide the icons for non-admin users. However, all icons are still visible to non-admin users. I noticed this trying to hide the new Cover icon and then realized that none of the icon settings seems to be working.

Just to be clear, I understand that the icons are always visible to admin users. However, it now seems like the icon settings are being ignored on non-admin users as well.

Also, on a related cosmetic note, the Holo theme needs a matching Cover icon. I was trying to hide the current non-matched icon when I noticed the problem with the icon settings.

Looks like this might have been broken when the "use Settings also for Admin Accounts" option was added. It seems like that option is controlling icon visibility on all account types (non-admin included). With "use Settings also for Admin Accounts" unchecked, all icons are visible to non-admin accounts, even icons that have been unchecked in the settings by the administrator. When the "use Settings also for Admin Accounts"option is checked everything works as expected. However, I believe the intended behavior was to allow the admin to always see all icons while hiding some icons from non-admin users. This doesn't seem to be possible anymore.

I have a new installation of Madsonic Server 5.0 (build 3800) x64 on a Windows 2012 R2 server. The problem with hiding icons for non-admin users persists in this build.

@MadEvil - can you please take a look at this issue. I would really like to be able to hide most if the icons for non-admin users, but, have all icons show up for admins.

Issue is still there in the current beta1 for 5.1.

This issue pretty much renders the security model void: what good is it to hide movies for certain persons when they still can see I am playing them?

On a related note: even with hidden statistics, even with that option turned on for admins, users can still select advanced statistics in the left pane. I think that should be off as well.

Sad, but hope the develor will fix it in the next non beta release.
