I would like to know what is the best way to migrate my users from the MusicCabinet SS fork to Madsonic. I know it should be as easy as copying over the ?subsonic.script? file from \subsonic\db to \madsonic\db. Other things such as settings would also be a plus to get moved over. I don't want to miss something before I go "live' with Madsonic.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Restore Users from different forks
hi there,
Madsonic and MusicCabinet forks are very different, other password encryption and other database layout.
So there is no out of the box solution to move data beetween this two systems.
Warning: do not try to replace the madsonic database script from MusicCabinet this would destroy the whole db layout.
best regards
Plan for Madsonic 5.1 is to make a lot of database changes
*) mediafile ID-independent user entries (comments, ratings, favorites, ...)
*) export/import users and settings
