Run Subsonic and Madsonic on the same PC/Server?

Unread post by apastuszak »

Is it possible to run Subsonic and Madsonic at the same time, but on different ports?

So, I can test my Subsonic clients and see if they work with the Madsonic back end.

I'm using Virtualbox and other lan-card for that.

Yes.

I run both to try out new builds of each. on unix I install one in /var/madsonic and one in /var/subsonic

You just need two copies of the shell script, which you already have -- /usr/bin/subsonic and /usr/bin/madsonic
make sure that in there they point to the right directories, and assign them to different ports et voila.
