Wifi connect failure

Go figure - never happened to me before in either Subsonic or any version of Madsonic. I have 2 current active sites running on my network on different servers. One I can access on my Android phone with both wifi or 3g. the other site can only be accessed over 3g - wifi gives the following error:
"org.apache.http.client.ClientProtocolException"
No idea why...
Same phone works fine over either connection to either site using Dsub.
EDIT: Go figure - it was because the vanity address had the first letter uppercase. changing the URL to all lowercase fixed it.
Still can't get ogg transcoding to work - log always says native client can play mp3 and won't transcode to ogg.
