Hello, I have the same issues as above, madsonic was working great until dsm 6.0 came out. I tried uninstalling, now when I try to reinstall madsonic 5.x or 6.x it gives the 'user home service is not enabled' error. Any solutions? Would really like to get this working again!

I make a fixed test package for DSM 6.0 but have no enviroment for testing.

Can someone test this installer? (for DSM 6.0 user only)

el-gato wrote:The fact is that Madevil is a lonely dev, unique author of Madsonic, so issues usually last for a while... Can't blame him, but that's terrible ! Moreover, Subsonic for Synology was abandonned, so here is our only hope to stream our own music on a NAS :(

Oh, didnt know that.

It's sad our streaming options are dwindling. :/

If it uses the same method as subsonic to check for "User Home Service" you can just create a directory in homes called 'userhometest'. Subsonic create a user with this name and verifies that the directory was created. After installation you can remove it.

I installed MadSonic 6.1 succesfully on my xpenology.

Some questions though:

- Why does the music have to be in /volume1/Public/Media/Artists/ ?
On my nas, my music is under /volume1/Media/Music

- I created symbolic links (ln-s) from /volume1/Media/Music to /volume1/Public/Media/Artists/ and MadSonic starts to scan, but only like 10 % of my files and then it stops, why? In the index, I got all the artists names, but when I click on them, no music is shown...

Can someone please explain? I've used Subsonic for a long time on my pc (premium user), but since there's no spk for subsonic, I tried Madsonic. (I also tried Subsonic docker files, but there's always something wrong, transcoding doesn't work, scanning of files stops, ...)
