Admin/Welcome/Login message formatting

Simple question, I hope.
In the Settings->Advanced tab, there are the boxes to change the text for the admin, welcome, and login messages. At the bottom are a bit of helpful formatting commands that can be used in the messages. Are there more than that? Are these customer to Madsonic, or are they from another text formatting library that might have more options?
I have searched with Google and both here and on Subsonic websites but I haven't found any mention of the text formatting commands.
