Hello,

I'm wondering how to set up the Media Folders for our file-/mediaserver.

Our mediaserver contains a folder "media" with 26 subfolders A, B, C ... Z and further subfolders with Album- or Artistsnames and again subfolders for Year - Album. Its about 5TB in size with, say, almost a million soundfiles + videos + other artist/music related files, like images, interviews, shows, etc.

I don't know, if Madsonic relys on inotify (to watch the configured folders) or does its own magic, so I'm not sure, what setting will be "better" (for speed while scanning *and* to catch up every change):

Should I set up 26 Media Folders, each for every letter of the alphabeth, same as the fileserver:

/server/media/music/a
/server/media/music/b
...
/server/media/music/z

Or just one single mediafolder //server/media/music/

?

Anyone with a huge base of music here have any hints?
