Special Characters Not Supported

Version: MADSONIC 6.1.8550.3450b22.20160727.0416
Server: Ubuntu Server 15.10 VM

I began using Musicbrainz Picard to process my library with the hopes of standardizing file names and metadata. Musicbrainz is great, they even are detailed enough to add special characters to track names that use them. The issue I am seeing in Madsonic is that it cannot read these characters correctly and makes the track unplayable. Madsonic does seem to be able to read the metadata correctly though.

In the attached screenshot, there are two songs that are the example. The ones boxed in red are processed by Musicbrainz and still contain the special characters in the file name. The ones in yellow are ones copies of those exact files with only the filenames edited to remove the special characters. I also had to edit the Album folder as it contained those special characters as well. When it contained special characters I could not open it in Madsonic.

Hi Madevil,
I finally upgraded to 6.1.8740 which in the changelog I see that you fixed the special character issue with .flac files.
I am seeing the same issue with .mp3 files. I can submit another sample if you need one.
Thanks

I am also still seeing this issue on 6.2.8920

This is the file name
12 Daft Punk - Random Access Memories [2013] - Doin’ It Right.flac
the character it has problems with is ’ which is not a quotation mark

the forum wont let me post a screenshot url in this post for some reason
