Can this be upgraded from 6.0, or do we have to install new?

Hey Madevil,

will there be a stable 6.x version? ATM there are showstopper bugs that prevent using 6.0 on productive systems (http://forum.madsonic.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1592)

I'd love to see external DB support to speed up user experience but imho top prio should be to have one stable version instead of introducing new features.

Upgraded my 6.0 beta to 6.1 and now I'm getting the dreaded 503 error.... Looks like I have to remove my database and start again....


Edit: Renamed the c:\madsonic folder, reinstalled 6.1 from scratch and ran it once. Logged in with default credentials, then stopped the service, and started copying files one at a time back from the renamed madsonic folder into the new one, restarting the service, then trying to access the site again. Found that the madsonic.data file was corrupted. After deleting this file, allowed Madsonic to recreate it from scratch, I was able to login to the site with minimal loss. Only lost my user database (which only had two users outside of "admin" and default/guest accounts.)

Had to run a media scan overnight, but the paths were already entered, as were the other settings I previously had.

Where I can Download v6.1 please ??

Are there any docs on how to build the source code? I think I have all the right dependencies but am still running into some dependency issues with mvn install.

How often are changes pushed upstream?

I can't anything newer than 2 months ago
