[MADSONIC 5.2.5420] Can't change settings/List type

Unread post by adrmlch »

Hey there,
since upgrading from stable to 5420 I can no longer change any settings, neither via the web-interface, nor via madsonic.properties.
While they are shown to be changed in the web-interface, the change (default list type, port, etc.) never actually happens and the .properties file reverts to standard settings on every restart.

Also clicking on any of the different list types (alphabetically, top 100, recently added, etc.) just shows an empty frame.

OS is Ubuntu 14.04.1.

do a clean install and try again.

as long as you do not tell us / show us :
- which version before "upgrading"
- how did you manage the upgrade
- permission checks
- relevant log files

there will be not really much help.

Done, no change.

which version before "upgrading"
5.1.5200 (Stable)
how did you manage the upgrade
I followed this guide.
permission checks
not entirely sure what the permissions are supposed to be, but right now they look like this:

Code: Select all

drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 4 13:04 config
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 7 21:42 db
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 7 21:04 jetty
drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Jan 7 21:04 lucene2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 25421 Jan 7 21:49 madsonic.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3776 Jan 7 21:00 madsonic.properties
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 46666 Jan 7 23:43 madsonic_sh.log
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Jan 7 22:44 thumbs
drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 7 21:04 transcode
relevant log files
Not sure which one these are. madsonic.log just contains [info] entries about who's accessing what, madsonic_sh.log contains no warnings whatsoever.

there will be not really much help.[/quote]
