I have my Music organized /media/music/{artist}/{album}/{filename}
If I setup a Media folder Name: Music Folder: /media/music it says it scans a single file and none of my music is found.
If I setup a Media folder Name: Music Folder: /media/music/Devo it will scan all the files under Devo and list them, but it will pick the album name as the artist.
What am I doing wrong? I'm on Ubuntu 15.04 and I've tried both Madsonic 5.x and 6.
No Music Found during scan
Re: No Music Found during scan
Evidently if the scanner doesn't find any files in the top level(maybe first 2) of the Media Folder it quits scanning. Putting a single mp3 file at the top level made Madsonic scan the whole thing.
/media/music/{all folders} = No Music Found
/media/music/{blah.mp3}+{all folders} = All Music Found
/media/music/{all folders} = No Music Found
/media/music/{blah.mp3}+{all folders} = All Music Found

Re: No Music Found during scan
Hi there,
if your default libary structure is
you should only add
as your media folder
Example: best regards
if your default libary structure is
Code: Select all
/media/music/<artist>/<album>/<filename>
Code: Select all
/media/music
as your media folder
Example: best regards
Re: No Music Found during scan
I understand that. See my 2nd post. The problem was that I don't have any files at the artist or album level, and without a file at one of those levels Madsonic quits scanning. adding an mp3 file to the artist level caused Madsonic to scan everything successfully.

Re: No Music Found during scan
