hi,

since updating to 5420 wma transcoding is broken !
even with wmadec there is no chance ...

maybe the binary ffmpeg is buggy .
unfortunately i don't have the one that came with subsonic / madsonic 4,6 anymore.
i know that this one worked

AAH solved : ))

if you see this in your madsonic log when trying to play wma

DEBUG	InputStreamReaderThread	(/var/madsonic/transcode/lame) /var/madsonic/transcode/lame: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and your host system is Linux x64 : you need to install the x86 package >> apt-get install lib32ncurses5

i think i have forgotten this installing the new server a few weeks ago ^^
