running a i7 wintel box running windows 2008 server.
the storage is a mapped drive connected to my synology device

mh, next time you try to type something... don't be drunk : P
then added some music into the music folder scanned and did not find the additional music.
logical this means:

folders were scanned
AFTER THAT additional stuff was added.
the new stuff was visible some days later...

erm , sorry this is bullshit.
Madsonic scans per default every 24 h in the middle of the night. default setting = 0200 am
If your server is offline, hibernating or something else in this time, no scan will happen.
if the server is online, but the synology NAS is sleeping, ther will also be no scan.

the best thing to monitor all the suff the madsonic deamon.. or service ( called in windows ) does is to set the following thing in the adminpanel :
Logfile Logging Level : DEBUG

so you can see every thing the system does . hitting the LOG button .

First of all you trolling little fuck wit, i was on my phone.
So there was missing some punctuation from the post ... live with it.
Secondly the software still exhibits the problem and no it is not the synology going to sleep, it is kept from sleep and the device storage runs nfs, which is in constant use.
Also like sub sonic if you remove , and rescan, then re-add the store .....amazingly it finds it.
This bug has been well documented in subsonic music scanner, i hoped the bug had been removed from this software.
Your bad punctuation friend

Same situation for me. Synology device kept alive, windows server, certain things not getting scanned. Recently I ripped 6 CDs of mine, same way as I ever have, only one made the cut from the scan.

a +1 for the problem.

i have the same issue on and off. sometimes all new stuff gets scanned, sometimes some albums are left out but suddenly get scanned at the next scan (without any changes to the files). some stuff just does not get scanned for long times...
maybe a build-in listening adviser (sarcasm)? along the lines "this album is not good for your ears...!"

cheers, L
